Aerial West Photography, Inc. is a Texas corporation, based in Dallas with primary flight operations at the Addison airport. Our mission is to provide the very highest quality photography available. We specialize in very large ‘mural size’ photographic prints suitable for exhibition in the corporate lobby and board room. We work side-by-side with your art director, to provide stunning photo-graphics for brochures, marketing material, presentations and websites.

We fly helicopters for a stable platform

Helicopters can fly lower, slower and are more maneuverable than fixed wing aircraft. They are also allowed to go places where fixed wing aircraft are restricted, making them the perfect choice for photography around the metroplex.

Gyro-stabilized camera equipment for a sharper image

Camera movement destroys image sharpness, so we use the same gyro-stabilizers that the major motion picture studios use to stabilize their cameras. The opposing disks spin at 22,000 rotations per minute and allow the camera to 'float in free space', thus dampening vibration, resulting in sharper photographs.

State of the Art Digital Camera equipment

Digital camera equipment is used when smaller prints are required or the photos are strictly used for brochures or on a website. Our digital cameras are capable of producing excellent prints up to 16x24 inches in size.

Medium format camera equipment for a quality image

Medium format cameras provide sharper images than are produced from 35mm or digital cameras. Our medium format cameras provide sharp, quality images that can produce extremely large size enlargements (poster or even wall size) while retaining sharpness, color saturation and image quality.

The best film processing for a clear transparency

One of the best photo labs in the world is right here in Dallas! With their 'dip & dunk' method of processing, nothing touches the film during the development process, thus resulting in very clean transparencies, which in turn produce superb photographs.

Digital scanning for the latest technology

Our negatives are digitally scanned at high resolution using Kodak's 48-bit, 10,000 element linear array CCD, with 4.2 dynamic range technologies. All of this provides for the sharpest, clearest digital imagery available. The image is then archived on computer disk and indexed for retrieval.

Archival printing for a lifetime guarantee

Digitally printed photographs, using pigment ink, provides better archival quality than photographs that are printed using the conventional dye process. Our prints are made using the latest archival quality UltraChrome inks on premium luster photo paper and when mounted properly under glass, are lifetime guaranteed.
